Saturday
June 10th. Last minute Kayak and Picnic at Wekiva Falls Resort located at 30700 Wekiva River Road, Sorrento, Fl.. This is right off S.R. 46 near Seminole State Forest.  Park phone: 888-4-WEKIVA http://www.wekivafalls.com/
Meet at 9:30 a.m. at the park.  We will kayak upstream on the river for about an hour or 1.5 hr and then turn around and come back to the park where we can have lunch, swim in the spring and listen to the music.  There is a fee of $8/pp or $25/per car of up to 6 people. No extra fees to launch our boats only if you want to rent a boat.  They have picnic tables, bathrooms, and canoe/kayak rentals are available (2 hr  2 seater canoes $15, 3 seat canoe $22.50, and single kayaks $7.50.  They also serve breakfast for $5 if you want to come earlier.  I know this is a little costly but it is just about impossible to get a group together at any of the parks on a summer weekend as most fill up early. There should be no problem getting at that time.  If you are not up to kayaking, you can always join us for lunch.  So bring your lunch and a chair (just in case) and enjoy a day of kayaking, swimming, and picnicking before the afternoon rains.   Contact Diane or Ken Dammiller at 352-516-4701 with questions.  RSVP at dammiller@aol.com
